Mr. Gillin is responsible for all day to day operations of Monarch’s family of distressed debt hedge funds including the closing of the all Bank Debt transactions. Mr. Gillin joined Monarch in 2002 as an Assistant Trader to help launch the firm’s distressed debt business, and he was later promoted to Senior Fund Operations Manager. Before Monarch, Mr. Gillin spent six years at European American Bank/Citicorp, most recently as a Vice President in charge of managing the RV Loan Portfolio, after serving in the credit risk and auto finance divisions. Prior to that, while working towards his degree in Business Administration at Long Island University, he held senior positions at First Data Corporation and Chase Manhattan Bank in fraud analysis.
